Nebula & Quasar is a unfiction series a PS2 and PC game that released back in 2002! What? You havent heard of it? Well, it is sort of niche nowadays...

Cutting the joke short, NAQ is an ongoing series currently on Youtube, being told through two different channels, Plasmapunk2001 and NAQtube. It's mainly an unfiction series with (currently light) horror elements. whether those horror elements will be expanded on enough to call it a 'horror' series is yet to be discovered.
Its about... well. 'Nebula & Quasar', a game for the ps2 + pc that came out in 2002 that saw moderate success (enough to spawn a sequel, apparently), before falling into obscurity. Now a few dedicated fans are reuploading media related to it, whether it be music, ads, and other miscellaneous videos, for the rest of the current world to see and enjoy!

I found out about it back around late may through the holy grail of 'youtube recommending me it randomly'! Which is how you find most good media nowadays. I found the Plasmapunk channel first, fell off it a bit because it doesnt upload very frequently, then found NAQtube and was hooked right back in. Twice as hard. I got so mentally ill about it that i started making little gifs of the characters, as seen below

they're a bit ugly now but i did put a lot of effort into them... look at my gifs boy.

anyways. i love naq so so much its just so cool..... it pulls off its aesthetic extremely well!!! everything is made to be like it actually came out in 2002. the renders made look nice as hell and authentic too!!! the music slaps!!!!!!! i like the character designs!!!!!! the art is pleasing!!!!!!! hell even the creators are putting out themed renders on their twitter accounts. thats so cool. auaaaaggghhhhhh
naq just makes me mentally ill in ways i cannot explain. i think its because its relatively obscure and new so i get to go all insane in picking out details and cant accidentally get ideas from others analysis (because im the only one here lol (on tumblr at least)). and also maybe because of the music on NAQtube. the music definitely caused some of the mental illness i have over this lol.
'music?' yeah! yeah this digital horror series comes prepackaged with BOPS. it both provides information on the story through lyrics and also is just nice music to listen to. though decyphering the lyrics is. an ordeal for me (← has auditory processing issues and simply Cant decypher them herself due to the music and distortion) UNFORTUNATELY.... im still tryin my hardest though. i do just think thats a cool way to put in a layer of interactivity for the audience though!!! because everyone will hear stuff differently and people can compare and contrast what they hear and understood with others!!!!! very cool.
anyways. super-sonic is the best song and h2octic lvl 2 is the worst, i will die on this hill (i kid! i kid. all of them are neat. though h2octic is pretty low down on my list solely due to the added water noises ^-^''). i wrangled some music player code into working so you could hear some of them here.. but go listen to the rest of them too!!
................oh i should probably mention.
i also made a google doc of me going over every video and pointing out shit. if you want, you can check it out. recommended that you watch NAQ yourself first though bc i wrote it with the knowledge that you know what im talkin about.
