ive never heard of a nebula and quasar..

nebula and quasar is a video game series that had its debut with the titular 'nebula and quasar: the journey to save the sun' on the ps2 and pc in 2002, which boosted their parent company lightyeargames to relative success and stardom (albeit with some... scandals, and a slowly dwindling playerbase with each successive release). its not as popular nowadays, but its got a cult following for each of its releases, including the very first one...

"nebula and quasar" is a unfiction series encapsulating two youtube channels, NAQtube and Plasmapunk2001, which follows a slow documentation and reuploading of various assets in regards to the video game series naq! what kind of assets, you wonder? well, all sorts of things- cutscenes, trailers, proof of concepts, advertisements... and even ingame music!!! yes, a good chunk of uploads are actually pretty catchy songs. aint that neat. ive hand selected a few favourites of mine to play in the little music player in the top left, for your listening pleasure :) its created by ak kaiju and bagelboysketches1(??) (you might know the latter for creating fazbear toddler fun!).
its currently 2 years old...... and ive been here for ALL OF IT BABY!!!! IM AN OLD GEN HERE. i found this series back when naqtube only had 200 subscribers. the more people i see pop up in the tumblr tag the more i feel like i should start gatekeeping bc i like an abnormally small fandom (JOKE. IM JOKING. IM VERY GLAD MORE PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO FIND THIS PROJECT)
im hesitant to call it a 'horror' project, because its moreso hinting at horror elements rather than being outright horror? maybe an extreme slowburn. there are talks about weird naq1 secrets after all, and the supposed 'tastes' of one director called Thomas Snyder.... but we haven't seen any of them yet. sad.
this series also gets the gold star of getting me so mentally ill that i actually started one of those detail documents that you see people do for bigger unfiction projects. its because i was the only one in the tag at the time and thought it could be fun to do. it was, indeed, fun, but its got the side effect of apparently making me a genuine resource for other people in the tag (!!! what!!!). which is kind of scary but i wear my badge with pride anyways lol.
